The cameras.

Cameras
  • Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro.

Super 35 sensor, 6144 × 3456, up to 50 fps in 6K and 120 fps in HD. 13 stops, dual native ISO 400 / 3200. EF mount. Blackmagic RAW and ProRes. Built-in ND filters (2, 4 and 6 stops). Direct recording over USB-C.

Used for music videos, cinematic shots, controlled interiors and daytime exteriors. It’s the kit’s image camera: colour ready for grading, light files, and the wide-angle 16-35.

  • Sony FX3.

Full-frame sensor, 4K up to 120 fps. About 15 stops in S-Log3, S-Cinetone. E mount. 5-axis in-body stabilization. Very good in low light. 10-bit XAVC S-I, dual card slots.

Used for night videos, alleys, gimbal work, handheld shooting and tight shots on the artist. Compact, steady handheld, reliable autofocus.

  • Canon EOS C70.

Super 35 Dual Gain Output sensor, 4K DCI up to 120 fps. About 16 stops in Canon Log 2. RF mount, EF adapter possible. Motorized ND wheel up to 10 stops. 10-bit XF-AVC and MP4, XLR inputs.

Used for performances, face-cam, behind-the-scenes and shoots with lots of lighting changes. Solid autofocus, cinema ergonomics, less rigging than a Pocket.

  • RED Komodo-X.

Super 35 sensor, global shutter, 6K (6144 × 3240) up to 80 fps, 4K up to 120 fps. About 16 stops. RF mount, PL adapter possible. REDCODE RAW and ProRes.

Used for premium music videos, strobe lighting, fast motion and shots where rolling shutter would break the image. High-end look, heavier in post than the Pocket or the FX3.
